DENMARK… YOU GAVE THE WORLD THIS MAN?! 🇩🇰😂🎹 Today we're discovering the legendary VICTOR BORGE, also known as "The Clown Prince of Denmark" — and I have a feeling I'm about to experience a completely different kind of comedy! A classically trained pianist who somehow turned musical performances into absolute comedic GENIUS?! SIGN ME UP. 😂 Victor Borge was a Danish-American comedian, pianist and entertainer who became internationally famous for combining incredible musical talent with impeccable comedic timing, wordplay, physical comedy and an absolutely brilliant ability to make audiences laugh. And what makes him particularly fascinating is that his comedy wasn't just about telling jokes. He used MUSIC itself as part of the performance! From unexpected interruptions and hilarious misunderstandings to his famous musical routines, Borge developed a style of comedy that was entirely his own. And as someone who absolutely LOVES discovering international comedians, especially performers who can make people laugh across languages and generations, I am SO excited to explore his work! One thing I find especially interesting is how much comedy has changed over the decades. We have modern stand-up, panel shows, sketch comedy and everything in between… But performers like Victor Borge remind us that sometimes all you need is extraordinary talent, perfect timing and a wonderfully ridiculous sense of humor. 😂 And I have QUESTIONS! 🇩🇰 DANISH VIEWERS — I NEED YOU! 🎹 Is Victor Borge still widely known in Denmark? 😂 What's your favorite Victor Borge performance? ❤️ Did you grow up watching him with your family? 🌍 How famous was he outside Denmark and America? 👀 Which other classic European comedians should I discover?
