Vitaly Margulis playing 7 etudes by Chopin, recorded around 1990. Margulis, known for his Scriabin interpretations, had a direct line back to the composer through his first teacher, his father, who was a pupil of Alexander Horowitz (uncle of Vladimir Horowitz) whose teacher was Alexander Scriabin. Margulis later studied with Samary Savshinsky and graduated from the Leningrad Conservatory.
