The A417 is a vital transport link connecting Gloucester and Swindon, serving as a key route between the Midlands/North and the South of England. A critical three-mile stretch - known as the “Missing Link” - between the Brockworth Bypass and Cowley Roundabout in Gloucestershire has long been a bottleneck. To resolve these issues, a comprehensive improvement scheme is underway.
