After four days with almost no sleep, a 12-hour round trip to say goodbye to family, and a 3 AM drive to the airport, the Robinson family boarded a one-way flight out of America with five people, eleven suitcases, and very little Spanish between us. What followed was 48 hours we'll never forget: getting lost in a foreign airport, having our bags searched at customs, negotiating a ride in a language we didn't speak, and finally walking into a hot, empty Airbnb — exhausted, discouraged, and honestly, doubting if we'd made the right call.
