I live for those few minutes on stage. The lights, the music, the energy, the feeling of being lost in dance. 💃 But this Durga Puja, the journey was different. Just 15 days before the performance, I injured my ankle, affecting two ligaments. There was a point when I genuinely thought I might have to let go of the one stage moment I wait for all year. Medically, dancing with an injury isn't recommended, and I'm certainly not advocating it. But after a week of practice, with an ankle band and a heart full of determination, I made it to the stage. Did I forget steps? YES. Was I confused? ABSOLUTELY. Was it chaotic? MORE THAN EVER! 😂 I'm someone who chases perfection in dance, but this time, I learnt something beautiful: sometimes, the most imperfect performances create the most perfect memories. This performance will always remind me of the battle between “Should I let go?” and “Can I still do it?” Because letting go has never come naturally to me. And this dance was a little reminder that willpower, when guided by love and passion, can be phenomenal. ❤️ A heartfelt thank you to everyone who cheered me on, and especially to my dearest husband, Kapish, who stood behind me like Shiva behind Maa Kali — my strength when I doubted myself, my support when things felt impossible. 🙏❤️ This one wasn't about flawless steps. It was about showing up, feeling alive, and surrendering to the spirit of Maa Durga. Jai Mata Di! 🌺✨
