This new player beat Hardcore Minecraft first try (I coached him)

Is this a world's first? My friend who's never played Minecraft before just beat hardcore mode on his first ever attempt. We only got 1 shot at this because if we restarted for any reason, then it wouldn't truly be his first attempt anymore. Going into this he knew nothing about what it means to "beat Minecraft", and he didn't even know the controls of the game. And by the end he defeated the ender dragon completely by himself without dying.
