I rebuilt my Assetto Corsa Quest 2 VR settings from the ground up after revisiting my older VR setup and testing the presets again with the render graph visible.
The biggest takeaway: once the core AC/CSP settings are stable, the main adjustment is Oculus resolution.
In this video I show three Quest 2 VR refresh-rate targets:
72Hz Fidelity: 4864 × 2464
90Hz Balanced: 4480 × 2272
120Hz Motion: 3264 × 1664
These presets use more or less the same general AC/CSP foundation, then scale mainly through Oculus resolution depending on the frame budget.
Shared baseline:
Oculus Link / Oculus renderer
ASW disabled
Single-Pass Stereo On
FSR/upscalers Off
MSAA 4x
MIP LOD Bias 0
Mirror distance 200m
Reflections every 2 frames
CSP mirrors: Stereo reflections Off, VR lock On, extrapolate frames 0
This is not a universal magic preset. Assetto Corsa is heavily modded, so track, car, weather, traffic, CSP version, Pure version, apps, and server load can all change performance.
Copy the preset first, test in a repeatable scene, then tweak one thing at a time.
