Ben Mbarikiwa is an example of a young person chasing big dreams. Leaving Kitale behind, he pursued a Theology degree at KAG University, seeking greater opportunities to launch his music career in Nairobi. For Ben, this was an exciting chance to explore the world beyond his hometown, where he was born in Matisi and educated at Misanga Secondary School in Kwanza Constituency. This move also offered him the possibility of making new friends and creating a family, as he had been raised by his grandmother after his mother left him at just six months old. Unfortunately, Ben's life took a dramatic turn when he fell in love and married an 18-year-old. This led to unexpected legal troubles, resulting in defilement charges that saw him imprisoned at Thika Prison for four years. Thankfully, he won his case and emerged stronger. In an exclusive interview with Musungu Muliro OGW, Ben openly discusses the highs and lows of his journey, offering insight into the invaluable lessons he learned during his most challenging times. His story serves as a testament to resilience and the transformative power of perseverance.
