London Underground District Line Journey 🚇 | Tower Hill – Acton Town | S7 Stock

Train: London Underground S7 Stock Service: Barking – Ealing Broadway Journey: Tower Hill – Acton Town Line: District Line Date: 27/09/2026 Today’s video features my final London Underground journey from this trip, travelling on a District Line S7 Stock from Tower Hill to Acton Town. 🟢🚇 Starting at Tower Hill, we travel west through central London before continuing towards West London and finishing at Acton Town. This is quite a long journey at just over 37 minutes in the video, taking us through a mixture of central London stations and the more open sections of the District Line. The District Line is one of London Underground’s sub-surface lines and uses S7 Stock. Compared with deep-level lines such as the Northern, Victoria and Bakerloo, the trains are larger and the tunnels are generally much more spacious. Parts of the route also run outside, so it has a very different atmosphere from the loud, narrow deep-level Tube journeys I’ve uploaded recently. 🚇 There are plenty of major interchanges along this journey. Tower Hill is close to Tower Gateway for the DLR. Cannon Street, Blackfriars and Victoria provide National Rail connections, while Embankment connects with the Bakerloo, Northern and Circle lines. Westminster connects with the Jubilee and Circle lines, and South Kensington connects with the Piccadilly and Circle lines. At Earl’s Court, the District Line splits into its different western branches. Our train continues towards Ealing Broadway, calling at West Kensington, Hammersmith, Ravenscourt Park, Stamford Brook, Turnham Green and Chiswick Park before reaching Acton Town, where I leave the train. This is also the last Tube journey on the channel for now. 🥲🚇 There have been quite a few Underground journeys from this London trip, including the District, Victoria, Jubilee, Bakerloo, Circle and Northern lines, so Tower Hill to Acton Town brings this batch to an end. You might also notice there aren’t any Avanti West Coast journeys from Liverpool or Warrington as part of this trip. That’s because I travelled down to Acton Town by car, so Acton Town effectively became the starting and finishing point for my London Underground journeys that day. 🚗🚇 The London content isn’t finished yet though!
