Game of Thrones Lore to Sleep To | The Children of the Forest: Complete History

The Children of the Forest lived in Westeros long before the First Men, the Seven Kingdoms, and every human crown. In this calm Game of Thrones lore to sleep to, we follow their complete history—from the Dawn Age and the first weirwoods to the Pact, the Long Night, and the last singers beneath the frozen earth. Settle in for a quiet journey through the oldest surviving memories of Westeros. We will explore who the Children of the Forest really were, how their greenseers used the weirwood network, why the arrival of the First Men began a war that lasted for generations, and how the Hammer of the Waters changed the map without restoring the world the Children had lost. This relaxing ASOIAF lore story covers: • the Dawn Age before human kingdoms • the appearance, language, and culture of the Children of the Forest • greenseers, skinchanging, weirwoods, and the Old Gods • the war with the First Men and the Hammer of the Waters • the Pact on the Isle of Faces • the Long Night, the Last Hero, and the war against the Others • the Andal invasion and the destruction of the southern weirwoods • Leaf, Bran Stark, Bloodraven, and the singers beneath the cave • the important difference between the published books and the television adaptation The narration is written for sleep, relaxation, study, and quiet background listening. It keeps a steady pace, avoids sudden interruptions, and treats uncertain legends as uncertain rather than turning them into confirmed history. If these quiet histories are the sort of company you would enjoy again, you are always welcome to subscribe. And if you are still awake at the end, tell me this: did the Children truly disappear—or did their gods, memories, and magic simply become part of the human world that replaced them?
