How to go DOI SUTHEP and DOI PUI National Park on a budget FULL GUIDE Chiang Mai Travel Thailand

How to go to Doi Suthep and Doi Pui in Chiang Mai on a budget having lots of fun and adventures. This full guide will prepare you for the journey to most popular National Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand. [JOURNEY PLAN] 1. Use GRAB application to call taxi from your location to Basecamp Travel Cafe (https://g.page/Basecamp_Thailand?share). This may cost you about 60 - 100 THB depends on how far you stay. Monk's Trail (https://goo.gl/maps/rn1mCP6m5h8sxEhw5) is about 1km away from Basecamp Cafe, but we don't go there directly because GRAB will charge about 300 - 400 THB if we choose this location. You can either walk from here or negotiate with the driver to bring you to the trail entrance. In my case GRAB fare was 67 thb, so I gave 100 thb in total to the driver to get to the trail entrance. Bring some water with you, there is no shop on the way until you climb to Wat Pha Lat temple. 2. Take a 30 minutes hike through the Monk's Trail (Wat Pha Lat Trail) to Wat Pha Lat temple (https://goo.gl/maps/nMY9B11YsLHVz8kY8). I suggest you to start early with the sunrise about 6:30 - 7:00, to enjoy cool morning air and avoid afternoon's heat. You will need another 30-40 minutes to explorer the temple, there is a lot to see. You can buy some drink or snacks here, there is a small coffee shop near to the parking. 3. Time to climb up to Wat Doi Suthep Off Road Hiking Way (https://goo.gl/maps/pDhCMRR6Zx2R3xLt9), which will take about 10-15 minutes. You can choose either go through the forest path (near to the waterfall and quite challenging) or exit to the road through the parking and walk uphill. 4. Enter the Wat Doi Suthep Off Road Hiking Way (https://goo.gl/maps/pDhCMRR6Zx2R3xLt9). It will take you about 45 minutes to climb up and reach the road. When you are at the road you can turn right and go directly to Doi Suthep temple and the view point, which is about 20 minutes away from here. Another option, you can go downhill a few hundred meters to see Nam Tok Rab Sadet Waterfall (https://goo.gl/maps/e167RKoTH5QCKcR88). 5. Explore gorgeous Wat Phra That Doi Suthep (https://goo.gl/maps/hjh6km6HeuW2Gacq9) and Doi Suthep View Point (https://goo.gl/maps/NGEX2TzvarqjvBFp9), which will take about 1 hour. After that you can go down to have a lunch or coffee, and buy some souvenirs. 6. Let's go to Doi Pui mountain, which is about 6-7km away from Doi Suthep temple. I suggest you to hire some transportation, because the road is curvy, narrow and feels dangerous for a walk. You can find a car like the one on a video (27:37) stay along the road by the exit from Doi Suthep Temple. Negotiate with the driver your route and the cost. I wanted to visit only Hmong Village (https://goo.gl/maps/QYhAvLWoYobEV4xF8), and it cost me 300 THB and 1 hour time to explore the place which I felt not really enough. Better to go there for 1.5 - 2 hours. You can also go the other locations at Doi Pui, like Doi Pui View Point (https://goo.gl/maps/31geUSPfACM6t1S48) or Ban Khun Chang Khian village (https://goo.gl/maps/a9RbaQ2AhqxT9mo46). 7. Come back to Doi Suthep temple, and from here you can go down to the city though the same route or just go with red song taew. You will see the songtaew queue on the left side of the road. The cost is 40 baht to Chiang Mai Zoo / Chiang Mai University (https://goo.gl/maps/16vftzQop9EhvDzx6), or 60 baht to Chang Phuak Gate (https://goo.gl/maps/NNh1zR3wuBk8e4Mi7).
