Legacy

This community has a lot of hate. Some players hate others for seemingly no valid reason, and make a conscious effort to cause discomfort and ruin the game for others. I recently got told I only clip LT5s and pure vanilla players, and that makes me trash at the game and boosted. I do only clip certain players - but that is because I play with friends for FUN, I don't play Minecraft to be "the best" or to make cool montages. I tend to have clipping on when with friends, because funny stuff happens. I tend to have it off in duels, because my goal PVPing is not to clip players, it's to have the most fun I can or to improve. People make the mistake of thinking PVP is purely competitive, it isn't. Montages are a form of art / self expression, and I find editing them fun. They are not designed to elevate my apparent skill, or to put others down. I was told that because I play SBP, I must be an older player (true) and have no idea what skill tiers actually represent - strange coming from players with no TL experience, but anyways. So I played mcpvp.com, a tiertesting server (that is objectively boosted), to see how I compare to other purevanilla community members who have seemingly received very little of the hate I have (certainly not dozens of DM's in a day). I got HT3 in 46 minutes including queueing, using blast protection boots (which I don't like) and regularly fighting over 200ms. This is not to brag - its to state that, playing the same server and kit as others, I got the same tier as other players did, despite being "LT5" while players of the same tier are considered T3+ skill.
