#XWing #FlyWing #FPV #RCPlane #VTOL #djifpv In this video, we're solving the hassle of pulling raw, high-resolution flight footage and blackbox logs from the FPV X-Wing without having to tear down the entire cockpit assembly every time. By installing a low-profile 90-degree USB-C extension pigtail directly to the onboard camera/VTX unit, we can now plug straight into a laptop in seconds. We also test flight clarity with the canopy removed to eliminate glare and distortion, check out the digital cockpit OSD over the desert terrain, and look at the rear cooling fan / stand-off setup to keep temperatures in check during hot runs. ⏱️ Video Chapters / Timestamps: 00:00 – Overview & the problem with cockpit teardowns 04:06 – Canopy glare check & open-cockpit configuration 04:48 – 90-degree right-angle USB-C adapter mod & routing 08:14 – VTX platform elevation, standoff spacers & cooling airflow 12:54 – High-resolution onboard DVR capture vs. Goggle recording 13:06 – Cockpit view & flight telemetry over the desert 16:30 – Final thoughts, canopy test results & next build tweaks 🛠️ Inspirations & Community Shoutouts: Big shoutout to the community creators whose builds and techniques helped inspire modifications on this bird: flat cable: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FN7KZ11K?...
