Historic Makeovers: Les Paul Fretboard Preparation | Episode 3

The Historic Makeovers Deluxe Makeover continues. In Episode 3, Daniel Carneglia takes the restoration through the complete fretboard-preparation process. Beginning with a new fretboard blank cut on our CNC machine, Daniel installs the inlays, frets, binding, and side dots before the finished board is glued to the guitar using traditional hot hide glue. Throughout this series, we’ll show exactly what goes into a full Historic Makeovers Deluxe Makeover Package—from choosing the guitar and initial inspection through the restoration process, refinishing, reassembly, setup, and final reveal.
