01 Chamundeswari Devi Suprabhatam Hamsadhvani

Thanks to the request by the priest at Adigodi Chamundeswari temple , I was inspired to compose a set of seven krithis/keerthanas on the presiding deity at the temple. On this day of Vijayadashami and the Aradhana day of my own mother (who was no less than a goddess to me) , I begin this humble offering with a Suprabhatam and Dhyana krithi. In this krithi, the Goddess Chamundeswari is invoked as the Jagadamba who nourishes us physically, mentally and spiritually Lyrics , Composition and Vocal : Dr Narayanan P Iyer Violin : Vidwan Chandramouli Mridangam : Vidwan Muralidharan
