Hong Kong government apologises for Wang Fuk Court fire

Lee announced that housing secretary Winnie Ho was being held politically accountable for last November’s blaze at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, and that she had resigned on Wednesday. Lee then introduced a number of actions and reforms his administration would implement in response to a scathing report by an independent committee that investigated the Wang Fuk Court tragedy. The government received the report last week and released it to the public on Thursday.
