Cichory harvest with an insane yield!

After a full season of growing chicory with the FarmDroid FD20, it’s finally time for harvest! In this video, we harvest our chicory crop in the Netherlands using a Grimme Maxtron 620. With beautiful weather and near-perfect soil conditions, everything came together for what turned out to be my best chicory harvest ever: 67 tonnes per hectare in september! What contributed to this outstanding yield? 🌱 Precise sowing with the FarmDroid FD20 – helping us achieve excellent crop establishment and a uniform stand. 💧 Irrigation after emergence – supporting the young plants during early growth. 🌿 Minimal crop stress from herbicides – allowing the chicory to grow with as little interruption as possible. ☀️A lot of hours of sun in combinations with irrigation 🚜 Excellent harvesting conditions – combined with the Grimme Maxtron 620, which lifted the roots efficiently with very little visible harvesting loss. We harvested this crop on September 24, still during the early delivery campaign. Achieving 67 tonnes per hectare at this stage makes this an especially rewarding result.
