Viscri is a picturesque village in Transylvania, Romania, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its fortified Saxon church and traditional village life. King Charles (formerly Prince Charles) bought and restored an 18th-century Saxon farmhouse in Viscri, primarily because he fell in love with the area's unspoiled rural beauty, biodiversity, traditional architecture, and sustainable way of life.
