Beyond Concussion | Concussion Specialist Workshop Series – 2026
Our 2026 Workshop Series is held every second Tuesday of every month!
For our June workshop, on June 18, 2026, we had a presentation led by Dr. Rosina Samadani, Ph.D.
Workshop Topic:
Developing a Concussion Diagnostic for the Sideline and Clinic
About the Presenter:
Dr. Samadani is on a mission to improve brain health and is currently the CEO of Oculogica, a medical device company founded by a neurosurgeon and dedicated to developing breakthrough technology to fundamentally transform concussion and traumatic brain injury diagnosis with non-invasive, fast, patent-protected, peer-reviewed technology. Dr. Samadani has 24 years of experience with medical device companies, including 7 years with McKinsey & Company as a leader in their healthcare practice. Dr. Samadani holds a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University.
Oculogica is a developer of concussion diagnostics. They have led the industry with the first FDA clearance for an aid in diagnosis of concussion that does not require a pre-injury baseline. They now have taken everything they have learned after being in the field for 13 years, with 6 FDA clearances and put it into a new device, developed under contract from the DoD.
