Footsteps On the Porch - Haint Tails - Dawn Shipp

Footsteps on the Porch — Dawn Shipp There’s something unsettling about hearing footsteps outside your home when you’re not expecting company. Especially after dark. Footsteps on the Porch is inspired by an eerie account of footsteps approaching a house, followed by a knock at the door. But when someone went to see who had come calling, nobody was there. No visitor. No explanation. Just an empty porch and the lingering question of who—or what—had been standing on the other side. Part of Haint Tails, a collection of Ozark folklore, family stories, and unexplained encounters. Not every visitor waits for an invitation. And not every knock should be answered.
