In February of 1929, Bert Ambrose was lured away from HMV to record for the newly launched Decca label. His HMV records were becoming popular, so Decca gave him a special release series using a magenta label rather than the standard blue of their pop series. Over all the magenta series was not too well received as they were slightly more expensive than the regular series. Consequently a good number of these "M" series Ambrose records are fairly scarce. Ambrose returned to HMV in February of 1930. Recorded in Chelsea, London on December 30, 1929.
