Arvist automates quality control and compliance in logistics using vision AI, with QC stations that sit on top of existing WMS and ERP systems and require zero change management to processes, behavior or data.
In this conversation from Masters of Supply Chain, Co-Founder and CEO Florian Selch talks with Arvist Founder and CEO Nilay Parikh about why so much warehouse technology works in the lab and stalls on the floor, and how that led to Arvist. They cover how QC in a Box works, real deployments with 3PLs at packing stations and dock doors, how Arvist Claims Management uses visual proof to respond to freight claims, and where vision AI goes next in logistics.

What does Arvist do?
Arvist automates warehouse quality control and compliance using vision AI. QC stations at packing, conveyor, staging and dock door areas verify products, labels, packaging and loads against the WMS in real time, and capture visual proof of every shipment.
What is QC in a Box?
QC in a Box is Arvist's modular QC station kit. Arvist ships the cameras, tablets, wiring and an on-prem server so the AI runs on site, then connects the stations to the customer's WMS. Warehouses can start with a few stations where problems are worst and scale from there.
How does Arvist help with freight claims?
30% of freight claims are fraudulent. When a claim comes in, Arvist Claims Management triages the claim details, the WMS record and the images captured during shipment, then responds with visual proof of how the order was packed and loaded.
Why did Arvist start with quality control?
Arvist found two gaps in logistics: very little QC happens once a product is boxed and shipped, and warehouses lacked proof when claims came in. Starting with QC on the floor addresses the root cause of errors and creates the visual record needed to dispute claims.
Where is vision AI in logistics going next?
Arvist is expanding into inbound receiving and supplier claims, QC on mobile units like forklifts and pallet jacks, and adjacent markets including air cargo, ports and retail back-of-house operations.
