Some stories must be told. Some truths must be preserved. And some cases demand that we never stop asking questions. The legacy of Emmett Till continues to remind us of the importance of truth, accountability, and the pursuit of justice. The Emmett Till Cold Case Investigation and Prosecution Program supports law enforcement and prosecutors in investigating unresolved historical civil rights murders, strengthening interagency collaboration, and pursuing justice and support for affected families and communities. Through a collaborative effort with Birmingham’s Jefferson County and the City of Tulsa, this short film highlights the significance of historical cold case investigations and the ongoing responsibility to examine the past with renewed purpose. This is more than a short film. It is an opportunity to reflect on the impact of racial violence, the importance of investigative integrity, and the role communities and justice system partners play in preserving history and pursuing accountability. History deserves the truth. Every story deserves to be remembered.
