হিংলো বাঁধের গল্প - অপরূপ দৃশ্য ও মনোরম পরিবেশ | THE STORY ABOUT HINGLOW DAM | DRONE VIEW OF HINGLOW DAM •ভূমিকা :- হিংলাে হল অজয় নদের একটি উপনদী যা ঝাড়খণ্ড থেকে উৎপন্ন হয়ে ভারতের পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাজ্যের বীরভূম জেলায় অজয়ের সাথে মিলিত হয়েছে। •উৎপত্তিস্থল :- হিংলাে নদী ঝাড়খণ্ড রাজ্যের সাঁওতাল পরগনার জামতাড়ার নিকটবর্তী পর্বতশ্রেণী হতে উৎপন্ন হয়ে হিংলাে নদী প্রায় অজয় নদের সমান্তরালে বয়ে এসে বীরভূম জেলার ভানগড়ের কিছু পরেই পলাশডাঙা গ্রামের নিকট অজয় নদে পতিত হয়। এই নদী অববাহিকার মােট আয়তন ২০০৯ হেকটর ( ৪৯৬০ একর ) সাধারণত বর্ষাকাল ছাড়া এতে জলের স্রোত তেমন থাকে না। এই নদীর তীরে হজরতপুর, ময়নাডল, জোফলাই ইত্যাদি প্রাচীন ও প্রসিদ্ধ গ্রামগুলি অবস্থিত। •সেচ ও বন্যা :- অজয় নদ ও কোপাই নদীর মধ্যবর্তী অঞ্চলে হিংলাের ওপর বাঁধ নির্মিত হয়েছে। সেচকাজের জন্যে এই বাঁধ তৈরী হলেও পরিবেশবিদেরা দাবী করেন এই বাঁধ এতদাঞ্চলে বন্যা সৃষ্টির অন্যতম কারন। হিংলাে বাঁধের সহনক্ষমতা ১৭১০২০০০ কিউবিক মিটার। অপরিকল্পিত জল নিয়ন্ত্রণ, ত্রুটিপূর্ণ সেচ পরিকল্পনার কারনে তীব্র বৃষ্টিতে বাঁধের জল নিষ্কাশন করতে হয়। ফলত নদী অববাহিকার পার্শ্ববর্তী অঞ্চল বন্যার সম্মুখীন হয়। ১৯৭৮ সালে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের বৃহৎ বন্যাতে বীরভূম জেলার অনেকাংশ প্লাবিত হয়েছিল হিংলাে নদীর বাঁধ ভেঙে যাওয়ার কারণে। • Introduction: - Hingale is a tributary of the Ajay river originating from Jharkhand and has joined the Ajay in Birbhum district of the state of West Bengal, India. • Origin: - The Hingale River originates from the mountain range near Jamattara in the Santal pargana of Jharkhand state in the state of Jharkhand. The total area of ​​this river basin is 2009 hectares (4960 acre), except in monsoon, it does not have any water source. On the banks of this river are ancient and famous villages like Hazratpur, Maunadal, Joflai etc.   • Irrigation and flood: - Hingla dam has been constructed in the area between Ajay river and Kopai river. Although the dam was constructed for irrigation, environmentalists claim that the dam is one of the causes of floods in the area. The tolerance of the dam at Hingla is 17102000 cubic meters. Unplanned water control, due to faulty irrigation schemes, has to drain the dam water in heavy rain. As a result, the area around the river basin is flooded.
