Raising chickens for 120 days on a small hillside farm in northern Vietnam – this is QNI Farm. 500 tiny Ri chicks arrive on day one, and in four months they must grow into a full-grown flock… fed mostly on banana stems, rice bran, earthworms and green leaves instead of factory feed.
But on day 47, a cold night of rain and a power outage almost ended everything.
In this chicken farm video you'll see the whole journey of raising chickens the traditional way: brooding chicks under heat lamps, the first vaccine, cheap homemade chicken feed from banana stems, fermented feed, earthworm protein, protecting the flock from hawks, rats and snakes, surviving three days of rain, free-range chickens on the hill, and the final weigh-in on day 120. Real rural life, real farm work – one small job at a time.
