Powerful winds uprooted large trees, blew away tin and asbestos roofs hundreds of metres away and damaged electricity lines. Water from a village pond was reportedly lifted into the air, with fish appearing to be swept away by the strong winds. At least four families have suffered heavy damage to their homes, with walls, household belongings, paddy and rice affected. The incident has reminded villagers of the devastating winds of the 1999 Odisha Super Cyclone. Local authorities have assessed the damage, cleared fallen trees and started restoration work. Affected families are seeking immediate government assistance, including polythene sheets and financial support. | Special Report On Ersama Tornado | Roofs Blown Away, Fish Lifted From Pond Erasama tornado latest news, tornado-like storm in Odisha, Jagatsinghpur storm damage, Sahanga village powerful winds, 1999 cyclone-like winds in Odisha, roofs blown away in Erasama, trees uprooted in Jagatsinghpur, fish lifted from pond by storm, four families affected by storm, Odisha sudden storm news, Erasama weather incident, Sahanga village damage report, Odisha storm relief demand, latest Odisha weather news Kanak News is Odisha's leading 24x7 news and current affairs TV channel from Eastern Media Limited.
