The Forgotten Queen Anne Of 1903 Rio Vista

Built around 1903 by local citizen Gideon Gullion, Rio Vista ("River View") sits on a high ridge in Carrollton overlooking the confluence of the Ohio and Kentucky Rivers. Constructed in the classic Queen Anne style, its defining feature is a massive three-story rounded turret topped with a conical roof. Inside, a grand winding wooden staircase curves up through three floors, surrounded by original stained glass, heavy pocket doors, and stacked circular rooms hidden within the tower. #history #architecture #urbaneye
