The Field & Forest Railway Bachmann Baldwin & The Crane Train

Today on The Field & Forest Railway is a bit of a testing day, with both the Bachmann Baldwin & Ruston & Hornsby 'Cromwell' testing on the line. Starting with the Baldwin, you may have seen that the Baldwin failed while operating passenger services at the railway's 8th Birthday Bash Gala in which the motor's worm gear decided to be no longer attached to the motor. A new worm gear was printed and attached and this has resolved the issue and seems fixed securely onto the motor shaft now. The loco was then put through its paces before heading off to its new owner. Alongside the Baldwin was Ruston & Hornsby Freelance Diesel Locomotive which was also testing after two prototype designs this is the final design with extra steps in the chassis as well as handrails on the cab and front and rear bonnets.
