My Himalayan dream fell apart at 5,000m. What began as an unforgettable Everest Base Camp trek in Nepal became a journey that tested our physical limits, challenged our expectations, and changed the way we experienced the Himalayas.
Our Himalayan expedition took us through breathtaking mountain landscapes, remote Sherpa villages, rocky trails, suspension bridges, and the spectacular Everest region. Our goal was to reach Everest Base Camp and, for some of us, continue toward the summit of Lobuche Peak at over 6,100 metres.
But high-altitude trekking is never quite what you imagine. As we climbed higher, exhaustion and altitude sickness began to take their toll. Around 5,000 metres, some of us had to make the difficult decision to turn back, while others continued toward Lobuche Peak in extreme wind and snow.
This cinematic Nepal trekking film captures both sides of the journey: the beauty and excitement of hiking in the Himalayas, and the harsh reality of high-altitude adventure when things don't go according to plan. It is a story about ambition, resilience, knowing your limits, and finding gratitude even when your dream takes an unexpected turn.
