Two Separate Homes Connected by Bridges, Light & Trees 🤯🌳 | Bengaluru, India

What if the most beautiful part of a home wasn’t a room… but the empty space in between? Located in Bengaluru, The Split House by Collage Architecture Studio is designed around a dramatic central split that brings light, air, trees, and nature deep into the heart of the home. Instead of treating architecture and nature separately, this house allows both to exist together. Two built volumes are connected through bridges, open skylights, gravel courts, glass walls, and lush greenery — creating a peaceful living experience that constantly feels connected to the outdoors. Built for a family of four, the home carefully balances openness and privacy. Large glazed walls dissolve the boundary between inside and outside, while sculptural staircases, floating bridges, warm teak finishes, and serene garden views create a calm, retreat-like atmosphere throughout the house. At the center lies a stunning open-to-sky courtyard with trees rising through a gravel bed, anchored by a minimalist white puja room. Above, bridges connect private spaces while allowing views across greenery and sunlight below. The terrace level adds another layer of luxury with a Jacuzzi, steam room, shaded deck, and an open sky court designed for gatherings and stargazing. The Split House is more than a modern home — it’s an architectural experience where nature becomes part of everyday life.
