Welcome to the beginning of one of the most exciting restorations we’ve ever taken on at SOS Customz. In this series, we’re restoring an incredibly rare Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec finished in Active Red—one of only approximately 60 examples worldwide. Cars like this are automotive history, and our mission is to preserve every detail while bringing it back to a level that honors its heritage. This is Part 1 of the restoration. We begin by completely tearing down the undercarriage, carefully removing the front and rear subframes, suspension, drivetrain components, fuel system, and everything necessary to expose the chassis. Every component is inspected, documented, and prepared for restoration. From there, we’ll begin refinishing the underbody, restoring years of wear, and preparing the chassis for the next major milestone—paint. Every step is being completed with the attention to detail these legendary GT-Rs deserve. This isn’t just another restoration. It’s about preserving one of the rarest R34 V-Specs ever built and documenting every stage of the process with you.
