【神楽　八岐大蛇】石見神代神楽～上府社中KAGURA YAMATA-NO-OROCHI by KAMIKO SYACHU

【あらすじ】 　高天ヶ原を追われた須佐之男命は出雲の国簸（ひ）の川に差し掛かると、嘆き悲しむ老夫婦と姫に出会う。老夫婦には８人の姫がいたが、年に一度、八岐大蛇がやってきて姫を食べてしまう。今年も八岐大蛇がやってくる時期が近づき、残り１人の姫である櫛稲田姫も食べられてしまうと泣いていたのだ。 　須佐之男命は一計を案じ、八岐大蛇に強い酒を飲ませ、酔ったところを退治した。大蛇の尾から出てきた剣は天照大御神に捧げられ、天皇の三種の神器の一つとなっている。 　 Kagura is a dance and song performed to dedicate to the gods in Japanese Shinto rituals. [Synopsis] Susanoo-no-Mikoto, who was chased from Takamagahara, met a crying old couple and a princess when he approached the Hinokawa river in Izumo . The old couple had eight princesses, but once a year, Yamata-no-Orochi who are big snakes, came and ate the princesses. The time when the Yamata-no-Orochi were coming this year was approaching, and they were crying because the remaining one princess, Kushinadahime, would be eaten. Susanoo-no-Mikoto devised a plan, made Yamata-no-Orochi drink strong sake, and got rid of the drunken Yamata-no-Orochi . The sword that came out of the tail of the snake is dedicated to Amaterasu Omikami and is one of the three sacred treasures of Emperor of Japan.
