The Alsek River Expedition - Episode 20 In this episode of The Adventure So Far, Chris and Ang join members of his SAR Regional Swiftwater Team for an incredible 14-day expedition down the remote Alsek River. Starting in the Yukon, the team travels through British Columbia and into Alaska, passing through Kluane National Park and Reserve and Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park, within the Kluane/Wrangell-St. Elias/Tatshenshini-Alsek UNESCO World Heritage Site, before reaching Dry Bay, Alaska. With powerful glacial water, challenging whitewater, remote camps, and unpredictable conditions, this expedition puts the team’s preparation, teamwork, and wilderness skills to the test. Along the way, they hope to experience the incredible wildlife that calls this remote wilderness home, including bears, wolves, and other iconic northern species. 14 days, one incredible river, and an unforgettable journey through some of the wildest country on Earth.
