Browning Receivers: R2700A versus R27

An intimate look at two of Browning's earliest 11-meter receivers, the R2700A & R27 that includes some very revealing sound qualities of these 'oldie but goodies' I like the fidelity of the older receivers verses Browning's later offerings, so much so I'm going to do a receiver comparison test of the R2700A and a Mark IV. Yes every newer generation Browning receiver made slight filtering changes improving adjacent channel rejection, but you got to love the HI-FI sound of the older Birds. 73 - Gregg s9radio@aol.com 0:00 - Intro 0:35 - K-tran IF transformers 1:45 - Receiver comparison 5:05 - R27 Selectivity test 5:40 - R27 LOK-SET 6:10 - 'On-Air' comparison test 7:48 - 'On-Air' weak-signal test 10:06 - Bleedover test
