Turning a Spare Room Into a Clothing Brand Studio | Boarding the Fireplace

This week, I’m putting up plasterboard on the old fireplace and working on the wall finish as we turn our spare room into a studio for Alpine Coast Life, our outdoor lifestyle clothing brand. There’s still plenty to do, but it’s another step towards having a space to build the business. We also headed out to our local fishing harbour in the rain—a little bit of Cornwall alongside the renovation. I’m Chris, and I’m documenting the journey of building a clothing brand from scratch, with a limited budget, no big team and one spare room in Cornwall. From renovating the studio to developing designs and ordering our first samples, I’ll be sharing the progress, mistakes and lessons along the way.
