Cut the pumpkin in half and put the inside of the pumpkin flat on the oven tray covered with baking paper. 2. Bake for 30-60 minutes in the oven (200 degrees celsius). I did 60 minutes. 3. Get the pumpkin out of the oven. You can now peel the pumpkin and scoop out the pumpkin seeds. 4. Put the pumpkin in a bowl and mix with a food processor or a hand blender. 5. The pumpkin puree is now ready to use in your recipes. You can keep the pumpkin puree for 3 to 7 days in the fridge in an airtight container* The Pumpkin Chili recipe from https://www.budgetbytes.com/easy-pump... Thanksgiving pie from the pumpkin spice cookbook from Laurie Gilmore. Ingredients: Filling: 150 grams of light brown sugar 2 large eggs and 1 egg yolk 2 tsp pumpkin spice mix (extra for decorating) 450 grams of pumpkin puree 240 ml of condensed milk Dough: 200 grams flour (extra flour for rolling the dough) pinch of salt 100 grams of butter 2-3 tbs of cold water Other: Baking paper Pie dish Mixing bowl Dried beans Rolling pin Whipped cream Steps: 1. Make the dough. Mix the flour and salt. Add in the cold butter and mix it in with your hands till a crumbly dough. Add in the water and mix again until it forms in a ball. Put the ball in foil and put in the fridge for 30 minutes. 2. Preheat the oven on 180 degrees celsius and butter the pie dish. 3. Get the dough out of the fridge en roll out the dough. Put the dough in the buttered pie dish. Cut the rest of the dough away. Put a sheet of baking paper on the dough and put the dry beans on top. Put it in the oven for 15 minutes. 4. Get the dish out of the oven and take out the beans and baking paper. Bake for another 5 minutes. 5. Lower the heat to 160 degrees celsius. 6. Make the filling. Mix the sugar and eggs. After mix in the pumpkin spice mixture, pumpkin puree en condensed milk. 7. Put the filling in the pie dish/dough and bake for 45 minutes. It's okay if the mixture is still a bit wobbly. It will get even more firm after cooling down 8. Let the pie cooldown for 1-2 hours. During that time it has to stay in the pie dish. 9. Decorate the pie with whipped cream and pumpkin spice mix. The pie can be saved for 24 hours Have fun cooking, baking and eating! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 👉 Please follow us on our socials!
