Wild Birds of Osaka 🇯🇵 | Our First Visit to Nanko Bird Sanctuary 🦅

Join us in Osaka, Japan 🇯🇵 as we visit Osaka Nanko Bird Sanctuary, a peaceful wetland reserve surrounded by one of Japan's busiest cities. For our first visit, we head into the bird hides to explore the wetlands and see what wildlife we can find. From herons and other wetland birds to a completely unexpected encounter with a Western Marsh Harrier gliding overhead, it turned out to be a very special morning of birdwatching. Sitting quietly in the hide, listening to the natural sounds and watching the birds behaving naturally and undisturbed, gave us a completely different perspective of Osaka away from the busy streets and city crowds.
