Isle of Rum in the Hebrides to Craighouse, Jura via Ardfern. Koopman 48 delivery trip. October 2026.

This is part two of our delivery trip from Torshavn to Dublin. Yachtskipper.eu ran the trip with skipper Thomas and Ava's owner, Christian. I had the great pleasure of joining them as crew. So, among the three of us, we shared a comfortable watch system of 3 hours on, 6 hours off. The video shows our journey from the Isle of Rum in the Hebrides to Craighouse, Isle of Jura. We sailed via Ardfern on the Scottish Mainland for a weather stop. As before, the challenge was to use the short weather windows among and between the low-pressure systems to avoid having very strong winds against us while at the same time having an expeditious but safe journey.
