Start with Ctrl+S to stash a half-written prompt. Then compare queued messages with Ctrl+X followed by Ctrl+S: in the test example, the command keeps running in the background while Claude handles the new question. The prompt-editing sections cover newlines, input undo, deleted-text recovery, and an external editor.
Later, explore model switching, session-only settings, reasoning effort, prompt history, and code review. Stay for Agent view: familiar keys take on different jobs when you group, pin, search, or rename sessions. Use the chapters as a quick reference whenever you need a shortcut again.
Some keys depend on your version, terminal, platform, and active view. Sections 26–29 use fullscreen mode. Ctrl+Z suspension is for macOS/Linux; the model picker uses Option+P on macOS and Alt+P on Windows/Linux.
