How to use the bookmark for quick access to the refills

Here is how I use the bookmarks to hold my notebook refills instead of sliding them under the elastic strings on the spine. This setup allows me to access them much faster. The reason: I keep a lot of stuff inside the zipper pocket, which prevents the refills from lying flat. Instead, I just pull them out as needed so I can write on a flat surface. The tip: Tuck the end of the bookmark into the bottom slit to keep the refills secure when the notebook is closed.
