TOOTH on Growing Up, Making Music & Staying Together | Hunting the Scene

What happens when you start writing songs at 15, but by the time people are discovering them, you already feel like you’ve moved on? I sat down with TOOTH in Paris ahead of their first show in the city to talk about starting the band at school, growing out of some of the songs that first got people listening and how playing them live completely changed their relationship with them. We also spoke about why they’d rather follow what excites them than give an audience what it wants, the trust that comes from growing up in a band together and why putting a label on what TOOTH should sound like would only hold them back. When I asked where they wanted TOOTH to be in five years, the answer was pretty simple: still together, still experimenting and still enjoying it.
