Measures of Kurtosis, Concept of | #kurtosis | #rstats| #rforyou| #statistics| #RStudio | Episode 31 This channel is "Learn Statistics Using R from Akhilesh". Its basic motto is, making students and teachers learn Statistics through Statistical Computing Using R Codes. Before taking up different aspects of analyses, let us slowly cover up the basic necessary concepts of Statistics. In that sequence, I am covering today, the concept of 'Measures of Kurtosis'. The measure of kurtosis is as essential complimentary shape summarization of data, apart from measure of skewness dealt with in earlier episode, after measures of central tendency, and measure of dispersion. This shape summarization is the final step in the process of summarization of the parameters of any frequency/probability distribution. I have written a book on Designs of Experiment Using R, whose reference is given in this lecture. I developed an HTML version for the second version of the second version of the book.
