Welcome to another Hiking Required video in my Shropshire Hills series. In this video I am on Brown Clee Hill near Ludlow in Shropshire. Abdon Burf on Brown Clee Hill, is the County Top of Shropshire. At 540m it is also the most prominent Marilyn in Shropshire with 374m of prominence. How much you need to walk up will depend on where you park. I used the side of the road parking just above Hillside Coppice, on the east side of the hill, and the total ascent across the whole route from here was about 540m.
The Official Summit is marked by a visible Toposcope located by the radio masts, but in this video I am here to explore the ruins of the old Abdon Clee Quarry Crushing House #hiddenhistory . But this is just one of the many points of interest on this hill, so look out for more as I upload further episodes from this visit.
