Day By Day Maybe it's me, maybe I've lost my way, Reaping the seeds of yesterday. My scattered thoughts, the things left undone, Have they made me hard to love? I crave your attention, a tender embrace, A kind word, a smile upon your face. But when the daylight comes, I hear The things I've done wrong, and I disappear. Oh, how it hurts to feel unseen, To wonder if I'm all you need. Yet I will choose you, day by day, And learn to love in a better way. I'll work on myself, let my actions speak, Find strength in the Lord when I am weak. Not to earn your love, but to grow in grace, And let His Word guide me each day. Jesus, my comfort, my refuge, my peace, Teach me to love, help my heart to heal. Like David, I repent for the time I've lost, And lay my brokenness at the cross. I'll love you with all that I have to give, Not just in words, but in how I live. And as God renews the heart in me, I pray our love finds room to breathe. I'm still choosing you, through all we go through, Still longing to feel you choose me, too. May we find each other in His grace, And learn to love in a deeper way
