Shag Harbour UFO incident, 1967: a classified file read aloud in March 1976. A Driftwell Archive audio drama. THE DRIFTWELL ARCHIVE is a work of fiction inspired by real events and decades of Cold War lore. The program, its records and its people are invented. Real persons and events appear in dramatized form. A diver goes down into sixty-two feet of water. His wrist unit reads sixty-eight degrees where it should read fifty-three. The hollows in the silt have edges like a knife and bare floors. The water inside is warm. The next morning, the hollows are gone. A classified file on anomalous temperature readings at Shag Harbour, read aloud in March 1976. A found-footage mystery audio drama. Saturday, 20 March 1976. Ten minutes to two in the morning. The folder on the table is tabbed S-67-11, and the night before he promised to read what the diver wrote. A Leading Seaman named Dunphy finds four depressions in the silt, edges sharp as if cut with a knife. The water inside is warm, sixty-eight degrees. The next morning, the hollows are gone. The Canadian Navy reports nothing found. Vosse compares the number to Ellery Station's constant sixty-eight degrees. He calls Dr. Miriam Cole, who confirms the impossibility. Then he realizes the diver answered something. He ends with a telephone number in pencil. ARCHIVE NOTE — The Driftwell Archive.
