Edifier R2750DB MKII | Bluetooth LDAC Sound Test Before Turntable Setup After enjoying the sound character of the Edifier S300, I decided to add another Edifier system to my setup — this time, with a specific plan in mind. The Edifier R2750DB MKII is an active 2.0 bookshelf speaker that I will eventually use with a turntable. But before connecting it to vinyl playback, I wanted to explore how it performs as a versatile home speaker in a digital listening setup. For this test, I connected the speakers via Bluetooth using LDAC and adjusted the EQ to a V-shaped tuning. Three different music styles were used during the listening session: Jazz, Rock, and Electronic Pop. The idea was to hear how the speakers respond to different recordings and musical demands. Jazz helps reveal tonal balance and instrumental separation, Rock challenges the speakers with denser arrangements and dynamic energy, while Electronic Pop allows me to focus more closely on bass depth, impact, and overall low-frequency presence. My personal listening impression was that the R2750DB MKII presents a clear sense of separation between bass, midrange, and treble. With the V-shaped EQ applied, the bass became more impactful and physically engaging, while vocals and higher-frequency details remained easy to follow. Even at around 33% volume, the speakers delivered a surprisingly strong level of output for my listening space. What also stood out to me was the overall presentation compared with many single-box speakers and smart speakers I regularly use. An active bookshelf speaker system creates a different listening experience. To my ears, the presentation feels more direct and natural, with individual elements of the recording becoming easier to identify. Instruments, vocals, bass, and treble seem to occupy their own spaces rather than blending into a single overall sound. Of course, this type of presentation may not be everyone's preference. Some listeners may prefer speakers that add more warmth, smoothness, processing, or a particular sonic character to make music immediately enjoyable. But for listeners looking for a versatile active bookshelf speaker that can be used for multiple sources, offers sound adjustment options, wireless playback, and can also become part of a turntable setup, the Edifier R2750DB MKII is an interesting option to explore.
