Making a Christmas tree skirt-Christmas in July

It's been sooooo hot lately in Arizona. Turn your AC down, make some hot cocoa and join me while I make a Christmas tree skirt. Its a pretty easy sewing project. I made it from scraps so I have no fabric measurements to give you except that it is 42 inches long, so that would mean you would need to get 1-1/3 to 1-1/2 yards of backing fabric and batting and the equivalent of that for the front.
