Hike, fly, hike, fly, hike paragliding adventure in Arthurs Pass National Park.

Hike up Bealey Spur to Point 1875; fly to Avoca Valley; night at Avoca Hut; hike to Sphinx Saddle; fly to Anticrow Stream; hike out. A couple of incidents on the first flight - hitting a rock on launch (silly mistake; should have run a couple more steps) and a tumble on landing (should have remembered that thermic winds generally move upstream towards the hills). Some strong language muted! Second flight was far more pleasant.
