[GH5] 21st Century Schizoid Man FC! (GH5 FGFC)

00:00 FC 07:51 Setlist Scroll GUITAR HERO 5 FGFC! first off, no ingame audio because this song gets blocked worldwide, shame as its a masterpiece. sorry about my mic peaking quite a few times, blue snowball moment. this means so so so much to me. i've been going for a gh5 fgfc since i fgfc'd aerosmith in november 2023. i actually got 81/85 by the end of 2023 as i got done with everything on the last day of the year, just missing schizoid, scatterbrain, no one to depend on and do you feel like we do. over the years i've been trying at these songs so so much on and off. if you've never played gh5, allow me to explain how this engine works. there is the lowest amount of front end in the series, and there is this weird glitch (?) where notes stay on screen for a frame longer than they're meant to. this is also the game where hopo chords started being introduced into charts but they just do not work at all 50% of the time (check out welcome to my nightmare from the DLC for a funny example of this). this game is my fucking weakness, i am so so bad at having to play so late. my brain gets so frustrated from having to counter miss after miss just because a note was hit too early, or i miscounted in a strum sequence due to there not being an instant response for which note i was on as they stay on screen for extra time. i do love this game outside of the engine though, and it has matt bellamy my beloved and an incredible setlist. i got no one to depend on last year, that was a huge relief. do you feel like we do came a few months ago on a whim, scatterbrain a few days ago. i wanted to get this FC as soon as i was done with scatterbrain as i'd been actively grinding the two for quite some time during breaks from satch boogie or basically anything on WoR, but i've been really really busy this week. i have a chronic illness and sadly it flared up and i was just not well enough to play yesterday and today, but i had a nap and decided to try a few runs. this was the first run of the day. as for the fc itself: i never really approached this one until i just had it and scatterbrain left purely because i hate how the sax solo is charted. specifically, i had a lot of issues with the trill part and just how late you have to play. im like 20% consistent at the trill on a good day and even once you are past it you have to focus sooo hard on not going too early and its just so unnecessarily difficult. theres also that descending quint part near the very end that id just miss on a ton which hurts so much. im glad to say that this was my 2nd run ever past the sax solo though; first died in the "Just Kidding!" section straight away. i dont think the outro is that hard at all (lots of people seem to really hate it) but im so glad i didnt choke it under nerves, my heart was racing so much. just anchor each note at the strum burst at the start and you're fine imo. heres my top 5 for this game based on difficulty: 1. scatterbrain (live) - easily the hardest, fuck the chorus sections, fuck the piano solo, fuck the intro hopo chords that are broken, this song was the bane of my existence for years 2. no one to depend on (live) - the solo is really bad on this engine (with the trill sliders around the start that i never really understood how they hit i just got lucky) and the strumming is really easy to miscount on. luck based fc for me 3. 21st century schizoid man - just purely because its not that bad outside of the sax solo, but the sax solo is the hardest section in the game 4. done with everything, die for nothing - intro makes no sense and solo 1 ladders are rubbish 5. do you feel like we do?
