Another day of expat life in Siem Reap, Cambodia, and this one certainly doesn't go to plan! I head out for what should be a gorgeous, peaceful lunch beside the river. Beautiful surroundings, lovely food, tropical scenery and the simple pleasure of sitting quietly and enjoying life in Cambodia. Everything is perfect… until someone decides to switch on a ridiculously loud stereo! If you've followed my adventures in Southeast Asia, you'll know that noise is one of my biggest frustrations. Whether it's noisy neighbours, thumping bass or music blasting in otherwise peaceful places, sometimes it feels impossible to escape! And that's not the only drama today. My poor black cat also has an appointment with the vet for a rather unfortunate operation. Yes, he's getting neutered and saying goodbye to his balls! From beautiful riverside lunches to unwanted music and feline surgery, it's another eventful day in the life of an English expat living in Cambodia. Thanks for watching English Refugee!
